Music students of any ability in grades 5-9 wishing to either perform or audit (students are welcome whether or not they have ever done a NYSSMA solo).
What are these workshops exactly?
Interactive personalized workshops tailored to student ability levels. Workshops will take place via Zoom. Topics to be covered include:
Brief Performance by Clinician
Skill building:Practice techniques, Sight Reading/Singing, Instrument Specific Technique
Performance Preparation:Auditions, NYSSMA solos, school ensemble literature, and more!
**Please note, these are not master classes. These workshops have been designed to be as interactive as possible- student performance is encouraged! Number of students in each workshop will depend on registration and clinician availability.**

When are they? Weekend of March 11th – 13th, 2022
Students will be assigned a specific date and time slot (registration dependent).
Sessions will run approximately 60 – 90 minutes.
Students will be assigned a workshop time based on school grade and ability level.
Links will be sent to teachers/students/parents approximately one-two weeks before the event.
Teachers may register as many students as they wish (please consult your music director before doing so, especially if your district will be covering registration fees for students).
Teachers must be registered NMEA members.
NYSSMA participation is not a prerequisite.
Register any students you think would appreciate this experience! This is an opportunity to include your advanced students as well as your dedicated students who may not have normally participated in All County.
Registration Fee: $20.00 per student.
Invoices will be generated automatically by district and will be viewable by district directors.
Fees can be paid through BOCES Arts in Ed and are aid-able.
Students will be asked to complete a commitment form.

Download and distribute blank commitment form. for each student, enter student/parent information, and upload the completed student commitment form.
Tuesday March 1st, 2022 11:59 p.m.– Nominations AND completed commitment forms due on nassaumusic.org
Students will receive their time slot and zoom link one-two weeks prior to event.
Students who participate will receive certificates!
